BIOgraphy

Alex learned fly fishing on his grandfather's bamboo fly rod at age 10 but had been fishing with his dad before he could walk. Later going on to win many fly casting and fly tying competitions on the East Coast. Alex is currently living his childhood dream of an endless fishing season here on the West Coast and as a 3rd generation outdoors guide he carries on the tradition, teaching and practicing the river skills he was taught as a youth. Making it his passion to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for the area with visitors has become his dedication. An exceptionally patient teacher, Alex can instruct beginners fly fishing equally as well as fine tuning experienced casters' skills. He can read the water on the river like a book to keep you dry on a float trip and put your cast where the fish lies and waits to eat a swung fly. When not guiding, he can be found working on his wildlife sculptures (www.liveedgetablefurniture.com).
